Grant Wistrom

Grant started his football career playing for Webb City High School as a defensive end and tight end. He Attended University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he played defensive line for the Cornhuskers football team from 1994-1997. During his career with the Huskers, they won 3 national championships and compiled a 49-2 record. Grant was a 1998 first-round draft pick, selected 6th overall by the St. Louis Rams. After 6 seasons, including 2 Super Bowl appearances and 1 Super Bowl win with the St. Louis Rams, Grant became a free agent. In 2004, he signed a 6-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks where he made his 3rd Super Bowl appearance. Grant retired in 2007, where he began working as a volunteer assistant football coach at Parkview High School in Springfield, Missouri. He later retired from coaching.
Grant has received numerous prestigious awards throughout his career including the Lombardi Award and the NCAA Top 8 Award. In addition to his athletic honors, he also received Consensus Academic All-American and Academic All-Big 12 honors, leaving Nebraska with a 3.44 GPA.
The Grant Wistrom Foundation was created in 2002, striving to allow pediatric cancer patients opportunities to be children. The Grant Wistrom Foundation consists of 4 programs: Circle of Friends, Local Outreach, Section 98, and Charities for Children.
Grant is a licensed real estate agent with the Dan Holt team of Keller Williams in Springfield, MO, a leading real estate team in Southwest Missouri. In addition to Grant’s charity work and real estate career, Grant is also co-owner of Crossfit Springfield. He is thrilled to be a part of the Gershman family.
