Leadership Clarksville in Tennessee recently welcomed new members to its 2026 class, and Gershman’s very own Fairlen Browning (Senior Loan Officer, NMLS# 156660) was one of the professionals chosen!

About Leadership Clarksville

This esteemed committee was started in 1987 to bring community leaders together to better and nourish the thriving Clarksville/Montgomery County, Tennessee. Per their website, “The men and women selected each year represent a diversity of races, religions, ages and political persuasions, as well as geographical cross section of neighborhoods. Participants are educators, doctors, bankers, artists, active and retired military, business people, ministers, lawyers, and representatives of labor, public service, international communities, and the volunteer sector.”

Together, the members of Leadership Clarksville’s aims are:

– to build channels of communication between established leaders
– to connect these leaders with community issues
– to equip participants with insights, not solutions
– to involve citizens in a non-partisan manner

About Fairlen Browning

Fairlen Browning was born in Gulfport, MS, and made her way to Clarksville, TN by way of the Army. “I got my professional start working at Pioneer Military Loans. When they went out of business, I had a friend who worked at Navy Federal Credit Union, who thought I would be perfect as a mortgage loan officer. I applied to try it out and fell in love! That was 14 years ago!” Fairlen started with Gershman Mortgage in 2024 and, in her words, “I’m so happy to be here – it’s nice to have finally found my people.” Fairlen is an integral member of the Clarksville team, who motivates her team daily with her professional drive and her giant heart.
