USDA 2025 Underwriting Quality Champion Award

We are proud to announce that Gershman Mortgage has been awarded an Underwriting Quality Champion Award from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)! Diane Macko (Vice President, Operations) and Kim Grimes (Vice President, Underwriting Manager) attended the awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. to accept the award.

What Is a USDA Loan?

A USDA loan (also known as a Rural Housing loan) is a government-backed loan available to rural property owners. They offer lending of up to 100% of the home’s appraised value (meaning there’s a chance the customer won’t have to come up with a down payment!) and is ideal for borrowers with low-to-moderate incomes in areas defined by the USDA as rural, as well as first-time homebuyers.
